New 2257 Regulations
The moment that webmasters and others in the adult industry were dreading has finally arrived.
Long-threatened new 2257 regulations, which come into effect today, have given anyone working in the adult industry something to think about.
As with any new legislation, there are some welcome aspects and other less welcome aspect to the new rules.
You can read all about them on the webpages posted below and email me with opinions.
The most interesting point for Hi-Nude, is that most Nude sites will be relatively unaffected by the changes, as they tend not to be explicit enough
Some sites, like Met-Art and ATK, have been planning for the new rules for some time. MET advises its customers and webmasters that they are exempt from the regulations and, as such, continue to offer webmasters free content from the site.
What this means is that MET doesn't have to worry about webmasters posting their images on their own web sites. This is a major issue for hardcore sites, whose content must be accompanied by 2257 information, even though the webmaster has not produced the content himself - according to the new rules.
I read through the new regs twice before deciding they have no impact on my sites, but I'm no lawyer so, if you have an alternative view on the new rules, please email with your thoughts.
