Naked In The House
Many of the world's top photographers have fancy and expensive equipment to help them produce outstanding results.
But considering the beauty inherent in the female form, does one really need flash gear and the latest technology to produce beautiful nude portraits?
Naked In The House is a Canadian TV programme from the Fashion Television Channel (FTC) that aims to answer this question.
Now in its fourth season, the show features a competition between 12 professional photographers, to see who can capture the best female nude photograph.
But the conditions are strict in order to level the playing field. There is just one nudel model and the photographers have just one camera, one lens, one roll of film and a half-hour time limit.
The idea is that the photographers have to rely on the talents that got them into the world of photography in the first place.
This year's contest took place in an old mansion on a country estate and the show was filmed in High Definition.
According to Toronto City TV "By shooting the special in High Definition, FTC is able to portray the challenge in a lusciously artful style and capture the beauty of both the model and the location in exquisite detail, even in Standard Definition."
Sounds impressive. I'm just hoping I can get to see it somehow, which is unlikely as I don't live anywhere near Toronto.
I would love to hear from anybody watching the programme tonight. Please email editor at hi-nude.com with your opinions, if you are lucky enough to see it.
